I think that the attack on Pearl Harbor was still completely unexpected in the U.S.'s eyes until after the fact. What I mean by this is after the bombing happened it was not as big of a surprise because of their history. The surprise attack was completely unethical because not only had Japan bombed a very important military base of the U.S. but they did not even declare war or anything else. I think that Japan truly had no reasoning behind bombing of Pearl Harbor

I feel that the attack on Pearl Harbor was unexpected, since Japan changed it's radio call signs on its entire navy fleet on Dec 1st so that the Communications Intelligence Unit at Pearl Harbor couldn't track their locations.. I am a bit torn on the ethical part because on one hand, the Japanese killed almost 2,400 people with little to no reasoning but, the U.S was trying to stop Japan's expansion, so I guess that the only logical way to stop the U.S was to bomb them.

I feel that the attack on Pearl Harbor was expected. The reason I think this is because I feel that the US knew that the Japanese were low on oil and they needed some. Though what the US didn't know was who were the Japanese going to attack. This Attack on the US was ethical because society's need oil for money and when they don't have oil their economy can start to spiral down.

I think that the attack on Pearl Harbor was completely unexpected, because they weren't at war, even though the US and Japan didn't get along. I also think that it was completely unethical, because they didn't really have a reason, such as a declaration of war.

I think that attack on Pearl Harbor was unexpected because the United States didn't know what was going on. It was unfair for the Japanese to do this because they just made the United States get involved for no reason. So I think that it was unethical because it was a bad thing for the Japanese to do especially if they didn't have a reason and this situation got people get killed for no reason.

I feel like the attack on Pearl Harbor was unexpected because the US wasn’t even part of the war, and the Japanese government person was also visiting America at the time when Japan was sending out the fleets. (we learned that last year) I think that the attack was completely unethical, because they had no reason to bomb us, but the aftermath in the US west coast was worse (ie internment camps)

I think the attack on pearl harbor was unexpected, even though the US and Japan didn't get along, the US wasn't even in the war. I think that the attack was completely unethical, they weren't at war and it got a lot of innocent people killed without a clear reason why.

I believe that the attack on Pearl Harbor was unexpected, especially since the U.S. wasn’t in the war. Japan and the U.S. may not have gotten along, but the attack was unethical. This is because, as I previously said, the U.S. wasn’t in the war at the time and there is no clear reason why Japan would bomb Pearl Harbor when they did and murder innocent people.

I think the attack of Pearl Harbor was unexpected. It is because the Japanese had no reason for doing this. The attack was unethical because since the Japanese had no reason for doing this, the US pretty much got involved in the war for basically no reason. Also the US wasn't even in the war but they still bombed Pearl Harbor, killing lots of innocent people

I believe the attack was unexpected, mainly because the Japanese had no reason to do this and they had not declared war with the US or allies with them. I think its wrong from a perspective of innocent people doing their job and working in the harbor, but from a war's perspective it's common.

I think the attack on Pearl Harbor wasn't expected at the time but I think the US knew something was coming because of the past between Japan and the US. It wasn't expected at the time since Japan didn't declare war. I think it was unethical since lots of American soldiers died and they weren't even involved in the war.

I don't think that Pearl Harbor was expected because the bombing of Pearl Harbor happen during WW2 and the US did not enter in to the war yet. I think it was unethical because lots of soldiers and men went to war for not reason and there was not a clear reason why they went to war.

I think the Attack on Pearl Harbor was unexpected however I think the U.S. didn't trust the Japanese at the time. I don't think it was "right" because thousands of soldiers died because of the attack and I feel less would have died if Japan had declared war beforehand. This would have given the U.S. time to prepare for the attack.
