After the depression, was the poverty about the same as the poverty during the depression. Was the amount of poverty the same, less, or more?

When there were forest fires in Washington because of the Dust Bowl, since Western Washington is sort of protected by the Cascade Mountains and it is more wet in Western Washington, were people in Western Washington less affected by the Dust Bowl than Eastern Washingtonians?

You mentioned that orphans got money from the government. Now, if one parent dies, their kids get a survivor's check. Did this happen then too, or something similar?

Did the migrants that came to Washington during the Great Depression cause more problems with unemployment and homelessness, or did they help make jobs?

Did children in Washington work during the Great Depression to get their families more money? If so were child labor laws created in Washington because of the Great depression?

Did the Dust Bowl cause any casualties? And I saw in the book that there was many acres of forests destroyed by fires how did the fires start if it was just dust that was the problem?

Was eastern Washington less affected by the dust bowl since they were somewhat used to that climate?

Was the fire caused from the Dust Bowl contained in Washington? Did this affect the slight trade at this time negatively at all?

Since the cascades separate Western and Eastern Washington from each other, does this mean that the Dust Bowl and the fires included only affected around a half of Washington?

I'm sorry, what I meant to say was was only about a half of Washington more majorly affected by the fires than the other.

A question I have relates to the whole bank failing and collapsing part. If a bank collapses and someone lost their money in it, would there be any way to get it back? Or is it just a risk they are willing to take when they deposit money in the bank. I thought this over a little and since people were poor at the time they probably didn’t have lawyers, so I just am kind of interested in what would happen.

My question is how would Washington have been affected if the migrants from Oklahoma didn’t come here, maybe it would have effected the economy
